Because I'm someone that finds it easy to make life difficult for myself, I decided - after looking round at the plastic tat available for awards and trophies - to make my own. Damien Hurst I'm not, but I'm pleased with the results, and whoever wins them next Friday will receive a bespke one-off made with passion and lots of cups of tea. Hardwood base, genuine old school MV Agusta spares (thanks my friend Dorian for both!!) and my basic lockwiring skills have created these 'trophies'.
I'm awarding these on behalf of the magazine next Friday at 2.30pm sharp at Horsham Piazza Italia, see details here:

Nice work, going to be three very happy people shortly. Talk to any aircraft engineer and they will get you squared away on the lockwiring.
Aww you're too kind, but I hope they're nicer than mass-produced things. Maybe I should only give 'em to people who promise to go over them with a duster every now and again....
Great effort!! They are worth winning. I wouldn't do anything about the lockwiring 'skills' After ripping their hand on it, they'll stop wasting time polishing and get on with the important things in life:)
Yes I had wondered whether I could be sued under Health and Safety rules for injury by DIY trophy lockwiring - I did deburr the end of the wire though..
Great trophies!
trophies are fantastic - and there's some great bikes going to be at Horsham Piazza Italia, it won't be an easy job to select the winners!
