Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato





We haven't had a car on here for a while. Who wouldn't want to drive around in something as cool as this Lancia? The works race 1600cc version of this coupe won the Daytona 24 hour race in 1969, thrashing the Porsche 911s which put out more power. V4 motor and five speed gearbox, and the Fulvias boasted an aluminium body. Beautiful!

And not just the Zagatos - the bog standard coupe is a cracker too - especially the HFs

Yes Zagato is a lovely Italian word though it is a name rather it meaning anything like 'bella' or 'stupida'. Funny, I remember these Lancias being around when I was a kid, I guess most have rusted away apart from maybe the aluminium-shelled ones..

I remember someone had a yellow one of these parked outside the college I used to go to here in the UK. I wasn't really interested in cars then but this one stood out a mile.
